M&T Surface Protectors installs StoneGuard®, a removable protective film for marble, quartzite, onyx, limestone, and other smooth stone surfaces. The film creates a physical barrier between daily spills and the covered stone. Where StoneGuard is installed, the film is stain-proof and etch-proof.

Appearance

Clear is designed for polished stone. Satin is designed for honed and matte finishes. We review the finish against your stone before installation.

Seams and edges

We use one piece where the layout and material size allow. Large or complex surfaces may require a seam. Film ends at exposed edges, so those areas still need care.

Scratches

The topcoat is scratch-resistant, not scratch-proof. Use a cutting board and avoid dragging sharp or heavy objects.

Water

The covered surface blocks liquid, but repeated standing water at sinks or exposed edges can reach unfilmed stone. Edge sealer is included, and edge spills should be wiped promptly.

Cost

Current installation pricing is $35 per square foot. Typical residential projects are about $2,350 to $3,000, with the exact quote based on layout, finish, and measured area.

Warranty

StoneGuard carries a Limited Lifetime Warranty and Performance Guarantee. Coverage is specific, and normal wear, scratches, external damage, and edge-related moisture are not treated as manufacturing failures.
